Okay, I'm strolling Prince St. in SoHo, my old stomping grounds, when this dazzling young women comes wafting at me grinning, waving, saying something in fond greeting, whoa. Oh, she's on the phone, and it's not 1978.
Finished the draft of my Abbey-Stegner book this morning. Celebrated by going to Staples to buy supplies for next draft.
Last week I had a mushroom experience of my own. I made a delectable pinot noir sauce full of fresh maitake and brown breech mushrooms–not hand picked, sorry to report–but organic and gorgeous, still attached to their stems (much like heads of lettuce) and wonderfully fragrant. The sauce further involved a demi-glace, a reduction, and a boyfriend. Regretfully, I could not include the resulting pix as they were far too revealing. Try the Meiomi Pinot Noir, it’s my new favorite.
All I can say is yum. Photo haiku–what a great idea!
They say a picture’s worth 485 words, sometimes more. I can almost hear the butter sizzzling in the pan!
