Funny, I was going to use “creepy” to describe that Barbie display before I saw your post, Susan, and see you’ve already used it. So I’ll say it differently:
Wow, quite a mixed bag of sights to behold! That hanging crane in #3 really creeps me out… Thanks for capturing this for us. Next time I’m in NYC, I’ll be sure to look up frequently.
They build towers for the cranes, but the machine is cantilevered out over the street like 50 stories up, creepy at least! The Barbies were at the FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) show, along with a lot of great clothes from a hundred designers or so–it’s a nice museum there on 7th Ave a few blocks south of Madison Square Garden. And I saw Book of Mormon on Broadway, hilarious, OMG. I’ll have to write about it. Written by the South Park guys.
